NZTA / Short Term Study in New Zealand

In order to enhance the overall development of Chinese children and improve parent-child relationship, New Zealand talent alliance gathers New Zealand’s high-quality basic education resources to launch parent-child short-term study programs suitable for Chinese families. At the same time, we also developed a set of parent-child courses suitable for Chinese families according to the overall personality characteristics of Chinese children and based on the New Zealand education methods, to help the parent-child to achieve effective communication.

For children, childhood exposure to the best western education, the development of their bilingualism, the respect for personal development, the development of innovative thinking, and the preparation for studying abroad in western countries. At the same time, parents and children in this process to share the wind and rain, grow together. We hope that this is an experience of understanding western education, after which we can understand the training and psychological needs of our children in the future study abroad. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to accompany, grow up together with the children in overseas, and give myself the possibility of overseas promotion.

True story – Kitty’s short study tour

Every Kitty’s vacation starts with a busy dance test, a piano test, an English test, a math test, and then a week or so to go to the beach to play in the sand, or take a cruise to Disneyland. Why not combine Kitty’s learning with travel? With this question in mind, I began to search in today’s hot study tour market. The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand, a few popular destinations around the sweep, I found “it” in the flowers: the southern hemisphere of New Zealand primary school pure shift study, the size of the host family, more than two weeks optional. This can even my oral English practice together, by the way, imagine an earth people know the slogan: “mother no longer need to worry about my English”! After discussing with Kitty’s father, his father was a little hesitant, worried that Kitty was too small to adapt to a new environment. But impulse of I still decided to go one, try bai, if what also did not learn as a pure travel. In December, I began to contact with research institutions, selected schools, provided materials, and applied for tourist visas. Considering the time of winter vacation, I signed up for two-week courses, and soon received the Offer from the school. Set off on February 2nd, New Zealand Spring Festival tour + Kitty chipping in.

Host family:

Kitty’s first homestay and shift experience in her life. I was under 10, so I had to stay with Kitty. The host family has a seven-year-old sister, Chloe, who is in third grade, and a 19-year-old brother. Kitty and her little sister became good friends on her first day here. Although Kitty has studied English for three years in China and got full marks in the final exam, she still thinks that English is the best subject for her study. However, when it comes to expressing herself, she still wants to keep her mouth shut. At first it was all eye contact and body language.

Children in New Zealand go to school at the age of five, so Kitty is in grade four according to her age. The school day is from 9 to 15, and there are three classes: English, math and sports. (there are two swimming classes a week, and Kitty has a hockey class.) Each class is 1 hour long, with two breaks, one for morning tea and one for lunch. Lunch is a LunchBox prepared at home with sandwiches, fruit and snacks.

On Kitty’s first day in class, the teacher assigned a classmate named Ruby to familiarize her with the situation. Later on, he played games

Kitty and her classmates soon became good friends, chatting and playing together during the break. The class here is also very relaxed, you can sit on the ground to listen, eat fruit to listen, or even lie down to listen. There is very little homework in the school. It is usually a 10-math problem paper, plus two English reading questions, and a picture book that needs to be read. It can be finished in about 10 minutes. So sometimes Kitty and her sister go to the beach after school, and sometimes they stay at school and swim.
